We also visit regional areas in Queensland and further afield from time to time.

We present school science workshop programs on all Physical Sciences and Chemical Sciences topics covered by the Australian Curriculum from Foundation through to Year 6. Our OSHC, Early Childhood, and Public programs are more generalised and cover a range of science topics.

Each of our Science workshop programs has been specially developed with a particular year level or age group in mind, from kindy (4-5 years) to Year 6. Activities have been carefully selected for age-appropriateness, and our skilled presenters’ delivery is always tailored to the audience.

Yes, of course! Our program topics are matched to a year level based on the Australian Curriculum Science Understandings for Foundation to Year 6. But if your school has arranged the units differently, then we can bring you the most suitable program for your needs and adjust the content if required.

We are happy to chat with you to plan a program for your agricultural show, festival, shopping centre holiday program, kids’ Christmas party, or any other event! Please visit our Public Events page for more information and to get in touch.

Our school shows start from $5.00 (ex GST) per student, and workshops from $8.00 (ex GST) per student. Minimum charges per session and travel surcharges may also apply. Please see our Pricing page for more information. If you’re interested in booking a program for a public event or something a bit out-of-the-ordinary, please contact us for a quote.

No, we do not charge a deposit for school, OSHC, or early childhood programs. You will be invoiced following our visit based on the number of children who attend on the day. For public events and larger bookings, we may charge a deposit to secure the booking.

We know that sometimes, things happen, and you aren’t able to go through with your booking. We appreciate as much notice as possible, particularly during busy periods, as it allows us to offer the booking date to someone else who may have missed out. If you cancel your booking within seven calendar days of the scheduled visit, we may charge a cancellation fee of $300.00 per day. If you reschedule your booking to a later date, no fee will be charged (however we do still appreciate as much notice as possible!).

Yes! All our programs are fully risk-assessed. We will send you the risk assessment for the program you have booked upon confirmation of your booking, but are happy to provide it earlier on request.

We are covered by $10 million in public liability insurance, as well as WorkCover insurance for our staff. All staff also hold current Queensland Blue Cards. We are happy to provide documentation on request.

Yes, we have a COVID-19 risk management plan, which outlines the extra steps we are taking in response to the coronavirus pandemic to protect our staff and the people in the school and centres we visit. We provide this plan to all confirmed bookings. As we are not a restricted business under the Chief Health Officer’s public health directions, we are not required to have a COVID-safe industry plan.

Firstly, directions to the closest possible parking spot to the presentation venue are always hugely appreciated! For most school science shows and workshop programs, a large multi-purpose space such as your school hall is perfect. If a hall or similar space is unavailable, some programs may be able to be conducted in a spare classroom or similar. Certain programs also require access to electricity and/or a sink or tap. A program-specific information pack will be provided upon confirmation of your booking, but we are happy to send this earlier on request.

All our skilled presenters have qualifications in science, education, and/or science communication. Due to availability and training constraints, we can’t always guarantee in advance that a particular presenter will be available to visit your school/centre.

For all school, OSHC, and early childhood bookings, we require at least one teacher or educator to be present for the entire duration of the workshop. We believe that this will be beneficial for you as well as the students, both during the workshop and in your science classes following our visit.

We source our equipment from a range of suppliers, both around Brisbane and online. If there’s a specific item you’d like more information on, just let us know and we may be able to assist. Unfortunately, we do not sell any products.

Aww, shucks 😊 we love to hear when our programs have been a hit! Email us and let us know why you loved it, or even better, leave us a review on Google or Facebook – public reviews help other educators and event organisers decide to book with us, so everyone wins!
